Nache Nache Video Song - The Rajasaab
Shekhar Kapoor, who returns to feature-film direction after seven years with the much-anticipated Paani, has finally found his female lead. To be honest, it is not as much his choice as that of producer Aditya Chopra's.
The girl who gets the prized role in Shekhar's futuristic love story is none other than Ayesha Kapur (remember bundle of talent who at age of 11, gripped the screen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Black?). Playing the deaf-mute and rebellious Michelle McNally in Black, Ayesha had shown no nervousness while facing the camera with the mightyAmitabh Bachchan who played her teacher.
Nine years later she is back as the new Yash Raj heroine and Aditya's fave girl, with a three-film deal tucked under her belt.
While the Paani team has been sworn into silence by the film's producers, a source close to the project says, "Shekhar's film is a futuristic Romeo and Juliet set in the Mumbai when water is the greatest wealth. Sushant plays a boy from the lower city who steals into the higher city where he meets Ayesha."
Apparently, Shekhar wanted a British actress to play the lead in Paani. He had approached the Twilight actress Kristen Stewart and the Harry Potter actress Emma Watson, but that didn't work out.
Would Ayesha join the ranks of other phenomenally talented child actresses like Sridevi and Urmila Matondkar who grew up to be stars in their own right or would she be another among many child actors who couldn't make a mark after maturity? Only time will tell.
#vfx meeting. Paani. Its amazing. There's nothing vfx technology cannot do.

Shekhar Kapur@shekharkapurSushant Singh Rajput. Probably one of the best young actors we have 2day. i'm really looking forward to working with him. He can do anything
Shekhar Kapur's Paani, which he has been planning for the last 14 years, is finally set to roll in June 2015. The film was expected to go on floors in the first half of the year, but has now been postponed for the umpteenth time to June. The film's hero Sushant Singh Rajput has already begun to work on his hair and body to suit the character. The film requires an equal number of faces from Bollywood and Hollywood.
The director's first choice to play the lead in his film was Hrithik Roshan, who opted out of it after waiting for a long spell for the film to roll. Eventually, when Aditya Chopra and Yash Raj Films joined forces with Shekhar, Sushant Singh Rajput andAyesha Kapur were brought on board as the lead pair. Buzz is that Grease star John Travolta was also offered a meaty part in the movie revolving around a power struggle against the backdrop of a global water crisis in 2050.
According to a source close to the project, "We have been in prep-up mode for a year now, but since the film is now slated to roll only in June 2015, most technicians, writers and creative crew have taken up temporary jobs with other productions. Costumes and looks of the characters have already been sealed. The crew will now unite only when the film is ready to roll."
