You're blinded in your hatred! She played a 'character'! And many legendary actresses have played prostitute from Madhubala - Nargis - Rekha! So i find nothing wrong in that! And yeah she played it with dignity and NO vulgarity at all! The song and the dance was amazing and thus a HUGE HIT! That's what matters!

The praises she gets are not fake but REAL! All the actors Kareena, Hrithik, Rani, Vidya and whoever came are themselves fans of Madz! She's inspiring! There's this ''Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon'' in almost every girl! Every girl wants to dance like her, be like her EVEN now! Her inspiration was also made on a movie !!

Lastly, yeah Madhuri's time ended and no one disagrees with you! Also the times of Sridevi/ Aishwarya/ Rani/ Kajol/ all the past actresses ended too! They are no more in demand! It's now Katrina, Deepika, Sonakshi, Sunny Leone's time! And after some years, that'll end too and new lot will come!
But LEGENDS/Divas/Icons like Sridevi/ Madhuri/ Rekha/ Madhubala are not made everyday! Millions will come and go, such is the industry! Not a big deal! But legends like Sri/ Madz/ Rekha/ Madhubala will forever shine in the hearts of everyone! They're immortal, iconic and unforgettable!

@bold most of the people including myself wanted to remember young Madhuri's dancing not 50 year old dancing for a item song...🤢After that item song I started hating madz...what is the necessity to do that???pure desperation nothing else...thumbs down madhuri..u lost one fan

^preep LOL! I don't understand it 😆 What's wrong in doing ''item songs''? Item songs are nothing bad or disgracing at all! All the legendary actresses from Madhubala -Helen -Rekha -Hema have done item songs... If 50 years old SRK/Sallu/Aamir can romance young actresses half their age and everyone can accept it, then what's the fuss about Madhuri doing item songs which has NO vulgarity in it but a great treat to watch even with your family?

as far as queen of BW:its madubala for me

They dont praise her bcoz of her star status (as few others also share same status but didnt got praised as much as she) but mainly due to the wonderful person she is having a great heart that has no malice for anyone unlike a majority of other actresses.

why is acting as a prostititue in an item song bad for a 50 year old?? are there not 50 year old prostitutes? some people tend to forget that this is acting. and agree with the above comment that people conviently forget these age rules when it comes to men. the old buddhe khans are still acting like 25 year olds, kissing girls that could be their daughters age. i think that is more worrisome.

If Iam not wrong all the actress u mentioned have done item songs as a part of their acting in their films...even I appreciated Madhuri when she did some item songs in some of her films...but after marriage she took loong break and suddenly appeared in an item song "exclusively" (where she is not part of the film)is not appreciated..and not called as "dignified" IMO ...in her place if sridevi or hema or juhi do item songs exclusively I will defenetly bash them 😆Which I expect it won't happen...

Coming to srk/Sallu/Amir we r used to them romancing young actress half their age...😆..in case if Bachhan sr suddenly start romancing younger actress,which we r not used to then again I will bash him😆

because she is a woman or caz she is 50 years old.

i just dont get u ppl, on one hand we cry about unequality in film industry between men and women. How khans are still romancing 20 year old but god forbid, a 40+ decides to pursue her passion again.

what was so cheap and undignified in Ghaghara. Did she wear short clothes , show her cleavage or made out with some guy. It was PURE dance...nothing else. She was playing a character.

Wat so everyone should act like ur great Sridevi, who after destroying another woman's house trying to pose a "dignified" Sati savitri image. Why dont we all women just go back to 1800's and become men's slave again. Geez, how is a woman who is working hard be it shows, movies or commercials and earning her money has become a sign of a desperateness.

Dancing is her passion, and she has a great knowledge and craft of it. She enjoys being on JDJ, obviously audience is loving her, her producers seem to love her. Then why should she not continue to do it. How did that become a sign of desperateness.

She doesnt even attend parties nor does she socialize much with costars. She has no industry connection, yet she is getting all this work. There has to be reason for that, just think logically.

And ur earlier post about her fans treating her like a goddess. I just have to say we have to keep defending her caz some ppl continue to undermine her achievement. may be to u, Sridevi is better than Madhuri. Hell to u , even Katrina is better than Madhuri. But many others dont believe in that. So they are going to give it back to u. I rarely see Madhuri fans putting Sridevi down, yet Sri fans still seem to live in 90's Madhuri vs Sridevi era

I am a huge fan of madz and watch jhalak only for her..
Her expressions in this video are mind blowing..

It amazes me how she remembers all her steps even after so many years..
