CONFIRMED: Aish in Ratnam's Spy Thriller

Strong rumors have been doing the rounds that Aishwarya may have green-lit Mani Ratnam's next directorial venture.

Now, it is confirmed!

Mani Ratnam's wife(Suhasini Ratnam) recently confirmed in an interview that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will star in Mani Ratnam's next film which is a spy thriller.

The film will be a Tamil-Telugu bi-lingual. Besides Aishwarya,the film will also have Telugu superstars Mahesh Babu and Nagarjuna. Shruti Hassan will play the role of the second female lead. An Iranian actor and Pakistani actress are being finalized for important roles in the film.

A.R.Rahman will score the music of the film and Ravi Varman(Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ramleela and Barfi fame) will handle the cinematography. Shooting starts in June.

Aishwarya will essay the role of the main protagonist in the film.This will mark Aishwarya's return to films after her 3-year-self-imposed break post the birth of Aaradhya.
