A Rose by another other name will smell just as sweet, so the saying goes.

She does not have an impressive family history that can be traced back generations like some of our filmi families, but she has some of the strongest work ethic. To come to a foreign country, not know the language and reach where she is at is quite remarkable. Bhai may have lent a helping hand, but he cannot make the masses like her. Yes, the girl cannot act her way out of a paper bag but she is appealing enough for both movie makers and movie goers to still have a career when so many filmi khandaan scions have failed.

So she is strong, determined, hard working and ambitious. That matters more than any last name or her asli age to me.

Who cares? Things like which family you're born into is not under your control. It's her personal life and she doesn't need to disclose that to the public. As it is, we have a very judgmental society. Kudos to her for making a successful career for herself despite having to start from scratch.

read wikipedia..it shows that her last name was turquotte before entrying in BW.and her father name was Muhammad Kaif..so after her entry in BW she used kaif as her last name.

Thats funny. If they wanted to give her famous surname then why not tendulkar? I m sure mohmad kaif was not more famous than sachin tendulkar any time.

Her age, surname, father and history r good mystery.
