like indians themselves went overboard when JodhaAkbar released and even Mughle azam .. so yeah right Bangladeshis have no other work other than giving a shit to one of those 1000 films made in bollywood right ??? Its only becos the independence and liberation war isnt a property that can be depicted wrong just to sell mass entertainment ...

and about the disastrous IMDB rating, Bangladeshis aint the only population watching and rating the film .. in that case Raanjhana, and some films which got banned in Pakistan due to the religious issues would also have low ratings..

the movie doesn't deserve a rating that low, the movie shud be reviewed as whole, not just because of a scene at the start of the movie to do with the partition, yes people had problems with other movies, but with this movie its going overboard because they are rating 1 star just because of one thing they found to be a issue. The movie is not about the partition, its about ranveer and arjuns characters.
I have friends who are Bangladeshis who watched it and had no problem with any part of the movie. There are so much worse movies out there that have better ratings on imdb, gunday has been enjoyed by many people.

the point being that people actually made accounts to try and rate it down, some people even rate it down solely becuz they don't like the actor or director, nothing to do with the film. The same way some bangldeshis r rating gunday just because of that one scene at the start of the movie, nothing to do with the whole film
Anyway i'm not taking it seriously, the movie is doing good business

yup people made fake account and pulled the film down!!! everybody giving zero u can't compare to talaash coz during talaash there wasn't this sort of protest

i think there is a difference in what we assume it should be like and what it really turns outta like.. movie has become successful and that doesn't ensure high IMDB ratings.. online viewers r much more saner and intellectual than moviegoers .. can u imagine the highest IMDB rating an indian film has happens to be a telugu film .. so yeah being foreigners we can presume that south indian or punjabi films r lame but again we watch them online and rate them high whereas we watch hindi films and rate them low..

and how r u or even any1 can be so sure that the low rating is becos Bangladeshis r on a protest ? its not a matter of how many scenes portrayed the history in a wrong way, its more about the sentiments here .. yes the film is about the male leads who are presented as BANGLADESHIS .. so here is the answer..

i am sure a lot of ppl protested after CE when Tamil culture was depicted in a wrong manner .. again sentiments hurt and thus the outburst ..

yes there are bangladeshis who doesnt find anything wrong in it, infact there r many and thus its absurd to justify the IMDB low ratings being a consequence of the protest ..

Go and read the comments for the movie on imdb, u will find many complaining because they think the film represented Bangladesh wrong.
And on the facebook its the same thing, its not because they didn't like the whole movie, hence the ratings are not justified to critique the movie as a whole. Because that is not critiquing a movie, it's venting out personal anger.
A rating of 1 star is ridiculous.

This movie insulted my country. Millions of people have sacrificed their lives to gain independence. We have every right to protest. YRF should have paid some attention to the details.
