Your joke was in bad taste, even Kajol cannot read hindi and infact in her old interview to BBC she said she speaks English in her day to day conversation and does not know hindi much.

It takes me ages to read a Chandamama comic in Hindi. Even though I was born and brought up in India and taught Hindi in school.

I think most people who received English medium education, especially in the convent school face similar problems unless Hindi is their first language at home.
