No one claimed SRK's BO run over the last five years was anything extraordinary, but it was consistent. He was still delivering hit after hit after hit.

Aisi baat nahi hai Anshul...but look at the title and how misleading it is...if u compare their whole careers...SRK's run is as big if not bigger than Salman...no one is saying that Salman is not the current #1...of course he is...but was Salman born in BW 3 years back or 25 years back??? If u want to compare the careers of two MEGA STARS of BW...then lets do it honestly and take their entire career into consideration...saying that SRK's run is not as big as Salman...is nothing but a LOAD OF BULLSHIT and even BOI has not said this...BOI is talking abt the last 3 years...

Do people understand the meaning of a 'run' here? Once you give a flop/below average movie, your BO run is over. Salman's run IS bigger than SRK's run cause I don't remember SRK giving 5 blockbusters back to back.

Depends on what the criterion of ur run is...SRK has not given a FLOP in the last 9 years...I consider that unbeatable...who is going to decide what the criterion for a run should be...should it be the BBs, HITS, not giving FLOPS...what it should be??

Not Salman vs. SRK again... Ugh.

Why can't people accept both their stardom and statuses in Bollywood history? SRK has his own merits and demerits. Same for Salman.

The run of Salman in the past 30 months is obviously the second greatest ever in history. Salman has highs that reach the Everest and lows than falls deep in the Ocean and that's what makes him the enigma he is.

SRK is known for his consistency more than his stupendous Hits. Heck, when SRK was delivering his first ATBB, Salman already has 2 ATBBs and 1 BB. But SRK has always been more consistent at the BO.

As a star, nobody touches Salman because nobody has been has panned, criticized, in a legal mess, and without big banners as Salman. That works in Salman's favor. SRK's forte is his overseas following, which is unparalleled. As I said earlier, both have their own merits and demerits and are the biggest stars Bollywood has seen since Rajesh Khanna and that's saying something.

You're disillusioned if you think Big B is a bigger Icon or star than Rajesh Khanna. Rajesh Khanna was not only the first ever Superstar who defined super stardom, but was a exceptionally talented actor who did as many social, art, and offbeat movies that Amit jee could only dream of doing. It's not about comparison and I understand where you're coming from because of the media perception, but Amit jee is still in the limelight and since Crorepati days he's never been off it; hence, the media treats Amitabh B as the greatest thing since sliced bread. That's not to deny the legendary career of Big B, but you're severely being unfaithful to reality if you consider Amitabh B. above Rajesh Khanna as a superstar.

Talk about an actor who succeeded in commercial, art, offbeat, and parallel cinema. Yep! That's Rajesh Khanna. Bollywood is so untrue and unfaithful to their icons. If this were Hollywood, they'd have such an elanorative description of the legends of yesteryear. And I don't blame people really for having misconceptions. It's just how Bollywood and the Media projects things.

just bcoz Jai Ho failed BOI z beig 2 biased towards salman

If u count consecutive hits u cant ignore SRK...if only BBs matter then neither Salman/Rajesh khana given consecutive 15 BBs...and what magnitude is he talking abt ?SRKs Hits collect as much as Salman's BBs..

and Overall SRK has more successful movies than Salman & Rajesh Khanna

Well, too bad BOI isn't talking about the flops given in the past 9 years. You can send them a personal letter if you want that known, but they're just talking about 'dream runs' and Salman's run is pretty miraculous. They never mentioned entire careers either, but there's no doubt SRK wins in terms of staying constant. If they had said that Salman's entire career is far more impressive than SRK's, then that would warrant outrage, but why so upset over the truth? Salman's successful streak is not comparable to SRK's streak.
