Stalin was copied from a Tamil movie called Ramana which was directed by the same guy who made Ghajini. Ramana's main lead was an actor / star by the name of Vijaykanth. Vijaykanth just like Salman was known for his larger than life movies, with a particular image. but for this movie he let go of his image and he played the role of a widower and a father to 3 children. His wife's role way played by Simarn who was known as a commercial actress but like the actr she took sacrificed her usual run of the mill heroine image. That was Ramana's biggest selling points. The movie was well made & crisp. And I quite liked the social message in the movie. There was a scene where he takes a dead person to the hospital and all the doctors pretend to be treating the patient and pronounce the person dead only after a day. that whole scene was very well shot, something that has been copied numerous times thereafter in other movies.

I dont know how Jai ho is as a movie, the promos didn't interest me one bit. But Ramana was a good movie.

Whose genius idea was it to make 'Stalin' a protagonist of a movie that does good and helps others? That's like making 'Hitler' a protagonist who helps Jews from discrimination.

I don't think Stalin or Jai Ho are copied from Ramana. The plots are very different. Stalina and Jai Ho copied "Pay it Forward" and magically turned it into an action movie. If these people remake "Sound of Music" The VonTrapp family would be bashing Nazis in the head with clubs instead of singing.
