Next season, I'll play for sure'
A lot has been happening with Salman Khan at the moment. He has been busy promoting his movie Jai Ho, which recently hit the screens, and cheering for his brother Sohail Khan's CCL team, Mumbai Heroes.
The actor, who seemed impressed by the Mumbai Heroes line-up this season, was all praise for the team. He says, "We got a great team. I hope lady luck favours us and we (Mumbai Heroes) clinch the cup this time. We haven't won till date, so we are hoping to see this dream come true. I'm also hoping there aren't any injuries this season, unlike last time."
Last year, actors Sonu Sood, Vishnu and Sudip suffered injuries during the tournament. Particularly impressed with Aftab Shivdasani, he says, "Aftab is playing fantastically, it's very impressive. All the boys are in form. We want the cup and we want it bad but eventually I hope the best team wins."
Armaan Kohli, who has been a part of Salman's TV show Bigg Boss, is a part of the Mumbai Heroes team. "Yes Armaan is playing for us; he is good at the game. Sangram (Singh) is also here to cheer for us."
Salman makes it a point to cheer for his friends though they are a part of rival teams. "Venky (Venkatesh) is a good friend of mine, and so is Ram Charan and Ritesh Deshmukh," he states.
Though Salman is a self-confessed sports star, he isn't a part of the series this year. When quizzed about it, the actor reveals that is definitely on the agenda next year. He says, "This year has been a busy one for me since I have been shooting back-to-back for my films, TV show and events. I did not have any time to practise and that wouldn't be fair to team. Next season I will play for sure." Well thought, Salman.
