"I think Farhan Akhtar is spectacular!" - Kareena
Kareena Kapoor Khan is excited to be teaming up with Farhan Akhtar for the first time in Dev Benegal's Bombay Samurai.
"I love Farhan as a director, but I think he's a brilliant actor," says Kareena, adding that she hasn't gotten to watch his last release, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (BMB; 2013) entirely, but she is full of praise for his acting in the parts that she has seen.
"I think Farhan is spectacular and I'm certainly looking forward to working with him. I've worked with him as a director during Don (2006), but I'm excited about working with him as an actor. I saw BMB in parts, and I genuinely believe that his was one of the finest performances in the industry so far. In fact, after watching it, Saif even messaged him."
Ask her about Bombay Samurai and reports that and reports that she'll be seen in a new onscreen avatar, and Kareena replies that she doesn't believe in the concept.
"People like to write a lot of things, but that doesn't have to be reality. I don't believe in re-invention. I've been around for too long now. If I like a story, I'll do the movie, it's as simple as that," says the actor.
She says she signed up the film because her role is fun and she took a fancy to it.
