Who do you think is the better actor among the two? When I say "actor", I mean natural acting talent barring their script sense (which Ranbir clearly has)...

Ranbir hands down.

Many people have been 'hating' on him these days for his personal life issues, but as an actor he is on top of it. He began his career strong and is continuing to go strong. He is a very promising actor and though he may have his flaws, he's one of the better actors in the new lot.

Shahid is a lost cause on the other hand. Hopefully his new movies prove to be hits for his sake.

Ranbir Kapoor.

He's the better actor by far. Ranbir may have drama surrounding him offscreen but when it comes to acting this guy knows his craft really well. Shahid's work is pretty mediocre in my opinion.

Shahid Kapoor for me! He looks cute doing the slapstick comedy stuff and does intense roles nicely as well. He comes across as more natural to me. Loved him in Kaminey especially.

Ranbir. Shahid got too many chances to prove himself and ruined it. But when it comes to acting, he is pretty good. His movie choices are so bad that his acting will never get noticed. He was fabulous in Kaminey, he shines in good movies, but sinks in bad ones.

While Ranbir was the only saving grace of his most bad movies- including Rockstar and BAH. He is natural and spontaneous.

They are both talented, but Ranbir in nearly half the amount of time has shown a far better sense of selecting good scripts, doing versatile roles and also garnering commerical and critical acclaim. So as of now, he is deffo ahead of Shahid.
