Okay, giving a quick review of the film, watched it yesterday!
If you go to see this film with the notion that this is made by the same guy who also directed Paan Singh Tomar, then there is trouble in the offing! Serious one! But if you go to watch this movie without any preconcieved notions of the director's brilliant reporterie...then you might as well enjoy the film. But that is it! Nothing more!
It is not a bad film by a long chance...but it is not a very good one too. It has its moments of brilliance and then some moments of very average stuff...hence, the end result is that you come out of the hall, not affected by the film at all, neither in a negative way and nor positive.
Saif is patchy in the film...just like the film itself. Sometimes he is very good, sometimes he is strictly average (the second half especially, he shines in the first half)...and invariably there are comparisons to his Langda Tyagi character, which makes his performance in this film pale even more!
Jimmy Shergill is very good, throughout and so is Vidyut, who is hardly there in the film, but leaves an impression for the small time he is.
Sonakshi...a reprisal of the roles she has done before, you barely notice her.
The action sequences are good and the dialouges are very sharp and witty!
Overall, its a one-time watch and only if you are a Dhulia / Saif fan!

SPOILERS AHEAD

Watched it yesterday. The movie was strictly okay-okay. I hated the end, though it was an apt end. Just cliche, I would've preferred if they went for imprisonment.

SPOILERS END

Saif was very inconsistent performance wise. In some places he was brilliant, in others he was average. I loved his performance in the first half though.

I love Sonakshi, but I seriously hated her in this movie. She had nothing new to do, her role was like a rehash of Dabangg and Rowdy and every other masala film she's done. Sona, please stop playing flowerpot roles, doesn't she get bored? 🥱

Vidyut Jamwal. ☺️☺️☺️ I loved him in the 10 minutes he got in the last half hour! He didn't have many lines, it was mostly fighting but he stood out in those few scenes. Such a cutie, I hope he gets more movies after this!

Jimmy Shergill was brilliant, such an amazing actor. Why doesn't he do more Bollywood movies?

Tigmanshu Dhulia disappointed. In an attempt to appease both classes and masses, he lost on on the script. It was so dull in places, and the whole love track looked so stupid when i watched it. I wish he had worked more on the script.

Rangan is our best reviewer. He's not a reviewer just bashing movies for the sake of it.

I started watching it online (sorry had no option. I'm not home at the moment) and was taken aback by how choppy the entire film was.
I didnt even get how we got to where we got to. It just looked like a bunch of scenes randomly put together. Cant believe this was a Tigmanshu Dhulia film 😔

Bullet Raja Saturday Business

Sunday 1st December 2013 13.30 IST

Boxofficeindia.Com Trade Network

Bullet Raja failed to improve its business on Saturday as collections were in the same range as Friday. The collections improved slightly in Mumbai and Delhi/UP but most other circuits were down.

The film has now collected around 13 crore nett in two days with both Friday and Saturday contributing 6.50 crore nett each. The film had to show a 20-30% jump on Saturday if it was to have a chance at the box office.

Sunday will show an improvement in collections but the fate of the film is already sealed as it has under performed over the first two days.

good now i hope this trend continues and all of nawab and his begums movie flop.

nobody wants to see them.

Lesson: Directors should stay in their comfort zone and do what they do best.
Sriram does small dark films best.
Dhulia does small films about UP best.

They need to stop trying their hand at commercial cinema. It's not their cup of tea!

Shahid's reply to Tigmanshu's derogatory comment on south style action...matches so much with what BR wrote :

Sholay doesn't work because it is real but because it feels real, because the characters and their motivations are worked out in ways that draw us in - and without that emotional investment, what good is a masala movie?
