Saif's interview

What do you like most about Kareena?
She is extremely undemanding and very patient. She also does what she needs to do without insisting you have anything to do with it. So I don't feel that I have to do anything, as a result I am happy to do most things.

Is she emotionally demanding?
No. Surprisingly little. She does not complain about anything, perhaps, as she has her own life. I don't want to get any nazar, but I know I am happy and so is she. We have our own things going on and we encourage each other and then we have enough in common. Like, we like to relax in the same way. We find the same qualities of life attractive. We find the same things peaceful. And that is the way it should be, as there is a complete separateness and, sometimes, we find that we like different things and we smile at that and enjoy that also. That's good as we are different people.

How different are you as a father to what your father was to you?
With my father, I was more formal. Sara and I are more friends. She is 18. I am happy she is going to a good university, but don't have unrealistic expectations either, just like my father never had. I want my kids to be happy and have the opportunity to be where they want and have quality company that usually comes from going to a good university.

Do you cry?
Not very often. The last time I cried is in hospital when my father died. It was immediate. Normally, I am not so emotional, but the second he died, I started crying. It was on cue. My mother said, You better say whatever you have to now, otherwise he is going.' And that was very scary. And I did. Fortunately, I had told him everything while he was alive. So there wasn't something left unsaid. That makes a difference and I thank God for that.

His interviews are normally long, so I just posted parts I liked most. The rest here

watch Walk the talk with saif
he has very little to offer when talking about his family

he did not have a relationship with them

and in an indian tv interview his late father did with some channel,

he s[eciifically said he has to go thru secretaries before he can

get to speak to saif, thats the kind of son he was.

this was about two years before he expired. maybe when his health

started failing, they spent more time together but this is what it was.

also i remember his father was asked about saifs plan to buy IPL

team, and he said saif spoke to him and askd him for money,

but that he told him he cant give him any and thats all he knows

on the matter.
