Desu I don't watch Bollywood films anymore either: from BMB to CE to Khaani to Satyag whatever YJHD all of them have been boring and disappointing.

But the difference between me and Bebo is Bebo is a Bollywood actress..am not. And I feel like she's saying she's above Bollywood movies..maybe she just doesn't have the time..still it rubs me off the wrong way. And apparently am not the only one..it's like her modern couple statement..she needs to stop saying these kind of things. The modern couple thing doesn't even annoy me..but to others it is annoying..I don't care about what others find annoying though 😆

I just want her to love Bollywood movies again.

What snobs she and Saif are. They're too above Hindi films but they have no problem making them for money. They're insulting the whole audience who watches Hindi films. If Hindi film actors are not even watching Hindi films, why should we? Especially the trash she and her Saifu dump on us like Agent Vinod and Tashan. We are also too good to watch their movies.

Why don't they try their luck in Hollywood since Hindi films are not worth watching? They would not get even one role. 😆

I agree, the way she puts it sounds terrible and the worst part is, she repeats it over and over again.

One journo did call her out on it. I think the only journalist pointed out what you said.

She said something like, "Because we're constantly working in that environment, it gets too much to come home and then watch the same thing" or something like that. Like she said she wants to cut off when she's home and get away from it all. Same reason I believe she runs off every few months outta the country. I think she explained it in her book.

Either way, this statement just sounds BAD. And needs to be ditched.

Though I have to disagree with you about Saif. He's actually more careful about his words. You wont see him put it this way. Instead he chooses to name the last hindi film he saw rather than saying he hasnt seen them.

Even if asked, just say you haven't had time to watch anything lately but you plan to catch up with the latest releases soon. There's a way of putting things that doesn't sound so insulting. It's not just once either. She says it all the time.

And the thing is, she doesn't have to like Dhoom type of films. Hindi films also come in all shapes and forms. There are movies like The Lunchbox or Ship of Theseus or Shahid if she prefers more artsy fartsy stuff now. When she makes these kind of comments it's very insulting and denigrating to the industry she herself works in.

Frankly, is she really doesn't like Dhoom type of films now, why doesn't she change her body of work and make better films herself? It's like she's fine with making trash to make money but she herself is too above to watch it? Why is she doing stuff like Chingam Chabake and Fevicol? Put your money where your mouth is. She doesn't make any good movies but then talks like a snob.

And we all agree with what you said. That her way of putting things across is absolute crap.

In another one she did mention Gangs of Wasseypur and Paan Singh Tomar. So she clearly watches a few here and there.

As for why change her body of work...well, she's a lazy actress. She likes the fame, the fortune and I guess she enjoys the art of acting. She's good at it.

And unfortunately those chinghams and fevicols are the ones that do well.

But at the end of it, yeah, crap way to put it. But I dont think she thinks she's above films in any way, though it comes across that way.

I think like she said, she gets so much of it all the time, that she doesnt want it at home. I mean she has been changing "You need to cut off" mantra for the past few years.

Whatever it is, I actually think it's made Kareena a better and more secure person.

I mean her statement aside, the fact that Saif pulled her out of that bubble and widened her horizons to a life outside bollywood has worked miracles. I think she's more secure than ever. She's looking forward to a lot more things in life now other than films and career...which is nice

Good. Then you don't mind when your and your husband's movies flop. Cos if you yourself don't enjoy and watch Hindi movies,why should other ppl waste their money on your movies.

Its degrading to one's own craft. I mean when she says she is born to act and blah blah,does she think we were all born to sit and watch her movies? 😆😆
