KRRISH 3 Declared BLOCKBUSTER (BOI) - Page 76

Now that Rakesh and Hrithik Roshan's super-hero film is a super-hit the onslaught of the new Hollywood super-hero film Thor The Dark Side could make a dent in Krrish 3's roaring collection.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh feels the collections in the larger cities could show a decline. "In the metros, yes, there might be a tough fight in the coming week between Krrish 3 and Thor. But overall Krrish 3 will dominate the box office. It has caught on big-time with desi audiences. Its business is unstoppable. Krrish 3 is re-writing box office records."

Komal Nahata feels Krrish 3 is unstoppable. "Thor wouldn't make even 1 percent difference to the Krissh 3collections. Krrish 3 is an established blockbuster now. A Hollywood film cannot affect its fortunes."

Film critic Karan Anshuman feels Thor is not much competition for Krrish 3. "The audiences for the two films are disparate. Thor has a far more niche appeal as compared with Krrish 3."

Says Rakesh Roshan, "We did Rs 35.91 on Monday. The total collection in 4 days is 108.61 crore on 4450 screens. Overseas, in just 3 days Krrish 3 has collected 4 million US dollars (24.50 crore).I don't think we have any reason to worry."

However critic Raja Sen is scathingly critical of the desi super-hero and hopes Thor would thaw the mediocrity. "I don't know if Thor can dent Krrish 3's run. But it SHOULD!! Indian kids deserve a real super-hero. Or at the very least a hero who comes to the theatres with a script and a story."

Raja is specially critical of the brand endorsements in Krrish 3. "Marvel and Disney are the kings of blatant merchandising. But even they wouldn't dare spend 20 minutes of a film selling a bloody bracelet. It's shameless.

Raja Sen is also losing it now.. he will be a BOI supporter m sure just like SRK fans..
