In movie-Judai there were two leads Sridevi & Urmila...& Urmila had got accolades for her acting...
And there was another movie-Suhagan(With Padmini Kolhapure)..Both Padmini & Urmila's roles were equal & imp.

priyanka i think..cant remember her playing second lead in any movie..

honestly that never matters, what matters is who walks away with all the praises!

in Aitraaz did Priyanka steal the show from Kareena completely and she overshadowed her, no one remembers kareena in that movie. PC basically proved how good she is in negative roles with that movie.

in Andaaz again despite Lara being female lead did PC again steal the show.

Katrina was 2nd leading lady in Race but once the movie released did she walk away with all the praises, Bipasha's career since then went down but Katrina was on a rise.

PC was supporting role in Barfi and Ileana was female lead but after the release PC got more attention that Ileana.

the fact that almost all of our favorite super star females today have played second fiddle at some point proves it doesn't matter! in fact its good that they do- its better to be a second fiddle and steal the show- that's the biggest compliment actually!

Katrina being the second lead was only relevant after the movie was released! but she was the most promoted lady from race- she was shown in all the 4 song promos- her zara zara and khwab dekhe resulted in repeat audience (I remember my friends who went nuts over her with those tracks) - the makers relied so much on her presence that she was even shown in the promo of "pehli nazar mein:" despite not being in that track!

Aishwarya was the Supporting Actress in Hum Tumhare Hai Sanam. She had a small role--of Salman's gf. You could call it extended guest appearance too, but I think it was longer than that.

Kajol and Kareena also I think. Both have done multistarrers but their roles in them cant be called the second lead.
