I really hope this film does well, it's really exciting to Deepika in this avatar.

I actually like the angst in her eyes. Can't get enough of it. It feels like a old, good 90s movie with the colors, sets, costumes...so glad Deepika is playing Leela.

I don't think it's possible to make Supriya Pathak overact...she's too fine an actress for it...lol but yes SLB's characters are all loud and melodramatic...so she will be larger than life for sure.

Deepika looks DEAD expressions-wise for half the song...it's a pity, really...SLB requires a heroine with more FIRE in her...fire in both expressions and body language...Deepika just isn't cut out for these kind of dance routines...it's beyond her scope of abilities...her acting has improved otherwise as seen in YJHD but this doesn't look it to me.

This is an unpopular opinion but I do think Kareena would have done a better job of this role...she has that spark and fire in her personality inherently...dancing might be doubtful...but the FIRE she would have nailed...

I'm not sure what exact situation this will be in the movie but Leela's character appears to be hurt/shattered/broken yet still dancing in a jalsa for Ram...a situation like this in my opinion deffo needed an actress whose EYES and body language could convey a gamut of emotions...not really coming through in this song by Deepika.

I'm not expecting Deepika to be Ash either...but the comparisons are inevitable cuz Bhansali has returned to the HDDCS kinda genre with this movie...and he seems to work best with Ash...

The current lot of heroines is depressingly inadequate in general when it comes to being the complete hindi film heroine.

Hmmm I think Sonakshi would have been great acting-wise too...but I guess body type wise she doesn't suit the SLB heroine bill...she's a better dancer than all these current girls though😆

Deepika, Ranveer, supriya, the colors, the customs, all were fab.

I liked the song, and every thing about it except the choreography and the shooting angles.

At first it was nice .. but then It become very repetitive and boring..

There was no much focus in Deepika during the song, she was just like the other dancers. Usually, the heroine is in the limelight and the other dancer in the background, but in this song, most of the time, Deepika were in the background, in a way that I some time fail to find her when she is in the screen.

I don't understand why people are saying that Deepika was disappointing, and why they are comparing her to Aish.

The pace and the choreography in the song is far faster and more energetic than in Dholi taro.

The atmosphere is totally different. In Dholi taro was cheerful, relaxed and happy. Salman and Aish share a screen together, they were dancing, teasing, and laughing .. while in Nagada sang the atmosphere is tensed, dramatic and mysterious. your attention stay focus in what is the situation rather than the song and dance it self.

It's unfair to blame Deepika for not matching Dholi taro when its not meant to be the same in any aspect except that both are garba

Deepika has done great job , it wasn't an easy choreography and movement, but she danced really well and show lot of energy in her dancing

I liked Ranveer's swag walk into the place. It was nice how he grabbed Leela's and our attention once he enters. I also liked the silent convo between Ranveer and Leela's Mom.

Deepika is very pretty and her dance is good. But because of the all the color she kinda got lost with the other dancers. Basically didn't stand out much when the camera is not on her.

Loved it! Deepika looks absolutely stunning!

For those who aren't aware, yes Deepika isnt as graceful as she should be, but Garba is a dance form that requires a certain stiffness as well. I think she was amazing towards the end of the song. The song is nice, a few hearings do the job.

People are looking for grace in a garba song?? Garba is a group dance, it's more enjoyed when performed collectively and everyone moving in a synch, it's not the type of dance where the spotlight is featured on one performer and the rest follow like most bollywood dances are...in that regard I commend SLB for doing this with Deepika that he made her blend in with the crowd which is sort of the point of a garba anyways. Given those restrictions she's done a fabulous job of maintaining that energy and the dance steps.

Also garba itself is a very restrictive dance, it requires energy and rhythm moreover than expressions and grace, yes I wish Deepika would have been as graceful as Aishwariya was but given the circumstances over the song that can be overlooked as someone else pointed out this is a damn sad garba while Dholi Taro was a happy one.
