This is a question thats been niggling me for some time now.

Who is her target audience at this stage in her career?

We see her endorsing jewelery brands for which she comes dressed in loud makeup and gaudy outfits. Or shes inaugurating jewelery stores in the same loud outfits. She has started endorsing real estate (i know Khans do it as well, but thats besides the point here), and most recently she'll be doing a pressure-cooker ad with hubby dearest. She has not signed any movies and even shied away from doing an Item-Number.

It would seem she has moulded her professional image into that of a professional home-maker. Which is not a bad thing, but do you think the new audience (that loves the likes of the new-gen actors) will be accepting of her return to the big-screen should she decide to return? Where does this new image leave her?

and most importantly, who is she appealing to with this image revamp?

Everyone. Whoever was her fan from miss world days

Thru HDDCS and ROBOT wants to see her,

There is a mystique and glamour attached to her

which no other actress has.

Although she hasnt done ny movie frm pst two year her popularity didnt fade an inch! Dis show stil she popular among her fans! She is epitome of beauty! I dnt wnt her to waste her tim by siting home! She has a long way to go

She has a lot of fans and she's popular..I guess those fans are her audience.

I think her target audience is very limited...there are very few people who will go to watch a movie just because its there fav actresses movie...its not like the khans...BW is male dominated...and the movie needs to have entertainment factor...now its really difficult for ishwarya now to star in an complete entertainer movie..that kinda script doesnt exist here..so I would say its probably brands..and stuff for Aishu...its ah ard truth she has no career in movies now.

ur so right when you say "that kind of script doesnt exist". it doesnt. Scripts are different and i do believe the audience taste has changed. While they are accepting of Aishwarya the sta,r i dont know if that popularity will translate to box office succes to give rise to Aishwarya the movie star once again. shes a bit advanced in age (shes NOT old) for the kind of scripts being produced.

so...it seems shes joined the Kajol-karishma brigade of endorsers.

Her target audience is ME!!! Me, myself, I, etc! I'm the girl that spent nearly 40 bucks on Guzaarish, I'll watch anything with her in it. Can she come back already?! I'm too emotional invested in this. 😆

Jokes aside. I think her audience is the one that grew up watching her. Those fans don't change but the fact that she was able to keep up the same level of mystery and popularity despite being out of films for 2 years speaks volume. She might not have the biggest fanbase anymore, but people still give a shit about her and her business.
