Jaya Prada, Rekha, Shabana, Smita, Priyanka,Tabu are AS talented as they ever were.

And our stars Zeenat, Parveen, Neetu, Madhuri, Katrina Chitrangadha Deepika AS attractive and hot

as any of them were.

Just because they were from 1950s and now only names dont mean our girls are

...but not everyone agrees that Katrina was one of the surprise packages in the movie...personally I don't feel she has grown much in terms of acting...that's my personal opinion.

Katrina and deepika can't be placed in the same sentence or comparison as madhuri neetu and zeenat... they were full of talent... no offence to u or other Katrina fans, but her acting doesn't impress me at all. I don't feel she acts well at all. of all the movies and hits she has to her name, there isn't 1 in which I felt she acted brilliantly... she does hav hits to her name I agree but the comedy hits were hits becos of akky...she hardly played a powerful role in them especially singh is king and welcome and as for rajneeti it had big stars and their performances were appreciated more i.e. ajay, ranbir and arjun.

a movie isn't a hit becos of the star... its the script and storyline...if stars were the core reasons behind hits, then Katrina wouldn't have any flop to her name and the khans wouldn't either but they do.

You do know that Drashti doesn't actuallly play Madhubala...she plays a girl named Madhubala. 😆

Hell, I have no problem if Katrina wants to play a girl named Madhubala, but just THE Madhubala.

Dont think even Ranbir can do justice to Kishore Kumar role, sure Ranbir is a good actor but Kishore was so different the weird expressions, the joy while singing , the wittiness he had i dont think Ranbir can justify that..

Totally agree...Ranbir has only done well in lover boy roles. Kishore Kumar is a legend with an amazing screen presence and liveliness. He had a depth to his character that very few actors can even match. I would rather this film just doesn't happen...Ranbir would butcher Kishore Kumar's image by playing him as a caricature of Rockstar meets Barfi, by showcasing KK's relationships with his 4 wives in the midst of a few songs. Please spare us die-hard KK fans the horror.

KK was also a stand up comic and a master of improvisation...but it only added to the magic by livening up the situation for his fellow actors, watch esp. the second one (there are way too many videos of his different genres to do him full justice...look them up).
