Chennai Express Starts 15th August (Thursday) with Bang.

Chennai Express has taken a very good start on 15th August that is Thursday which is a National Holiday because of Independence Day. Film is registering occupancy of around 55-60% for Morning shows, which is pretty good considering film is into 7th day and has retained around huge 2600 screens for today. Advance booking report for the day is very good and their should be big jump with each passing shows.

Film has opened to 50-55% opening in Delhi and Gurgaon City. In Mumbai it has taken better start with 60-65% occupancy for Morning shows. Hyderabad is again Historic with 85-90% occupancy is registered. Yes, there are places where start is weak, but will pick up with day progressing.

Chennai Express is set to collect historic number on 15th August as it has able to retain huge 2600 screens and occupancy in that screens is pretty good. It is also set to touch 150 crore nett mark today, thus it will be 5th film ever to touch this mark. Film has a target of 15 crore nett for the day (bare minimum). A target of 17-18 crore nett will be more realistic now looking at the start.
