According to the senior actor's story, the young charmer showed up at his ex's room to make sure all was well when she didn't turn up in time for the shaadi, and then proceeded to stay on until much longer. Apparently, the young heartthrob confirmed to the older star that he had indeed rekindled this old flame 'twice' while locked up inside her room all afternoon.

When he dirty danced with his ex at the reception later that evening, all the guests noticed their closeness. But the actor threw a curveball when he revealed they were just 'good friends' now, as he'd gone back to seeing another one of his on-off actress exes.

That being said, I agree with the comment above that why we give so much importance to Ranbir as a man in Deepika's life? I think this is because as the studies suggest one can fall in love many a times and also out of it. With Ranbir, he gave her the idea of marriage and so the tattoo but when she realized that he is the prince of infidelity kingdom she walked out on him. Her walking out on him is the reason that Ranbir has respect for her and fights with media whenever they say something about her. Her tattoo is the reason why Ranbir's name will always be associated with her.😆😉

And as Ranbir had said in one of his interviews he wants with Deepika what Raj-Nargis had which indirectly means he always wants to see his name with Deepika. Which I find very weird because if you don't want to let go of a person then why don't you hold that person with love.😕
