Amitabh Bachchan, a flamboyant philanderer in KANK

Although he is the senior-most actor in the cast of Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna , Amitabh Bachan plays a youthful, frivolous, flamboyant philanderer in the film.
The movie by Karan Johar is a mature story of troubled relationships between two married couples. And though Abhishek Bachan has his moments of humour in the film, it is Big B who will catch many viewers off-guard with his fun and frivolity.
Guess what? Big B plays a fun-loving skirt-chaser who appreciates the beauty of women, particularly the American blondes. There are sequences in the film when the superstar also indulges in some risqu humour. But it is all shown in good light.
The philandering playfulness of Amitabh's character is evenly balanced by its maturity and thoughtfulness. Shedding his frivolity in the latter part of the film, he guides the young people close to him with wise advices in the most appropriate way.
In fact, Amitabh says his wife Jaya Bachan was initially apprehensive about him accepting the role.
Those who have seen the movie say that though Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukherjee are the key players of the story, it is Amitabh who entertains with moments of genuine humour.
