I personally think Babita tried to "seperate" the family, she never really tried to mingle with them and even kept the daughters away from them. That's why Bebo has never been close to the other Kapoors. I might be wrong.. but thats what I could understand from the non-biased articles.

Edit: with non-biased I mean stuff that didn't come from the mouth of Bebo/Lolo/Babita

But bebo seems to be close to ranbir

They're much more cordial now. But I dont think they can be called "close" from any angle.
Kapoors only showed up to one of Kareena's 3 wedding parties. The Baraat ceremony.

Rishi and Neetu might've shown up to the Sangeet, but Ranbir wasnt there.

Difference is, that was only for a little while. Randhir took an exit from his girl's lives and didnt return...well...until VERY recently. And even that can be termed "Special appearance" at best.

With Saif, that case of freezing accounts only happened during the messy split, which isnt very uncommon in divorces, especially when lawyers sometimes advise their clients to do so. Douchy move, but nothing scandalous.

But after everything was settled lawfully, Saif paid full support and today plays an active role in his kids' lives. That much was revealed even by their divorce lawyer in an interview.

Taking Sides in the Amrita-Saif split

I have known Amrita long before she married Saif. After their marriage, Saif became very close to me. We met often and so it was a shock when suddenly I learnt that all was not well in the marriage. Whenever we met, they seemed very much in love. The bombshell came when Amrita told me, 'Listen, this guy's cheating on me.' Neither of them wanted it to be messy because the children were involved. Of course, Saif was in a predicament because I was close to Amrita prior to their marriage so he had to go to another lawyer. But even that lawyer happened to be a close friend and associate, Kranti Sathe. Neither took a difficult stance so it was one of the easiest and most amicable divorce settlements that I have come across. Thankfully, Saif and Amrita sorted out the cheating factor between themselves before they came to me. They just said that they could not live with each other and opted for a divorce by mutual consent. The alimony was accepted and so was the permanent maintenance of the children.

There were phrases when Amrita would say, 'He wants to come and meet the children. What should I do?' I told her that he's the father she would have to allow him. Earlier she would not want to be at home when he came but later they started meeting on a friendly basis. Even today they go to the parent-teacher meetings together.

Recently, when Saif's car was taken in by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), I handled his case and my son went with him for the interrogation. It must have been difficult for Saif to come back to the lawyer of his wife. Even when Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi was caught in the poaching case, Sharmila Tagore called me from Delhi.

Seems like just a messy period where things had to be settled. Saif's been involved in his kids lives all these years. And this coming from AMRITA'S laywer.

Also, the Kapoors didn't come because KAreena didn't invite them. Not because the kapoors were being distant to Kareena. I think whatever bad blood is between Kareena and the Kapoors is because Kareena doesn't accept them as family. She probably has her reasons and I don't think anyone is really complaining.

As much as Babita, me and the entire Kapoor family would like to have a reception party, we have to respect the sentiment of the couple who are marrying. Kareena and Saif want to have a small, private wedding, and only the immediate relatives of the Kapoors and the Khans, and friends close to my children have been invited. I would personally like to say sorry to those who've not been invited to the wedding. The bigger reception in Delhi has been organised by Saif's mother, a lot of politicians will be attending that one as Sharmilaji is very well-connected politically. I just want Kareena's fans to pray that she remains happy in her marriage.

I'm not saying it's the Kapoor's fault.

I'm saying that the fact that Kareena and Saif didnt invite them to all their ceremonies shows how close she is to them. 😊

That was my point, coz someone said she's really close to Ranbir.

That's what I meant.

I think you're confusing the Kapoors with the extended Pataudis

Saif's immediate cousins showed up from one side of his father's...not now the other side I think.

But I dont think he invited those ones anyway

thank you frosty, its just that it i was having hard to accept babita would drive, i am still finding it hard. but good for if she did. good to see women strong.

and not only babita, neetu singh, ranbirs mum, also saw some tough times as well. many times police were called at their house, reports of rishi physically abusing neetu. neetu also got separated for a little while from rishi, cos of these abuse and rishi drinking problem. if kareena and karishma struggled, i say ranbir and radhima also were tortured with these nuisance of their father. imagine growing up in an environment like this.

and yes out of these trio, its karishma who came as an underdog, and delivered on her own. and she won this by doing kajol, madhuri, urmila's , others rejects. hardly she was considered first for any roles. and to have a national award that too pitted against madhuri, quite a feat. and i believe she also won filmfare for raja hindustani.

ranbir coming as kapoor khandaan lad, kareena coming as karishma's sister. the hype, the khandaan name, the PRESSURE, and how about making bold statement even before your first release: " my sister is the best, wait for my arrival, i will make a chutti of other actresses."

oh i liked this statement, even srk said, that i want to win all awards. no harm.

imagine living all this hype and presure. yes they faltered at times, but they have delivered as kapoor kids. and that goes to all trio.

frosty, one of biggest smile kareena gave me as a fan, when i saw her pictures with her dad in the hospital. one great moment that was.

i know all about bebo and karishma's struggles and triumps. there was a time when i used to live for them.

but hey, but there are many other bollywood celebs who struggled. i even heard some even had to lie, and sleep around to make it big in bollywood, AND they made it BIG. kareena, karishma's struggle pales in comparison.😆
