well whatever the case may be, it was Randhir's responsibility to do whatever it takes to ensure his children's safety and well being. Babita is twisted from what I have heard but I don't blame her, she had to handle the girls alone, in the process people lose their mind sometimes. But if it is true that she didn't accept any help from the kapoors, my respect for her has tripled.

Lol mogli!! Rumor is that she left him coz he was a drunk good for nothing whose career amounted to nothing. Plus he was a lush and there are rumors of abuse. Plus she an affair with Ranjeet

and not only babita, neetu singh, ranbirs mum, also saw some tough times as well. many times police were called at their house, reports of rishi physically abusing neetu. neetu also got separated for a little while from rishi, cos of these abuse and rishi drinking problem. if kareena and karishma struggled, i say ranbir and radhima also were tortured with these nuisance of their father. imaginegrowing up inan environment like this.

and yes out of these trio, its karishma who came as an underdog, and delivered on her own. and she won this by doing kajol, madhuri, urmila's , others rejects. hardly she was considered first for any roles. and to have a national award that too pitted against madhuri, quite a feat. and i believe she also won filmfare for raja hindustani.

ranbir coming as kapoor khandaan lad, kareena coming as karishma's sister. the hype, the khandaan name, the PRESSURE, and how about making bold statement even before your first release: " my sister is the best, wait for my arrival, i will make a chutti of other actresses."

oh i liked this statement, even srk said, that i want to win all awards. no harm.

imagine living all this hype and presure. yes they faltered at times, but they have delivered as kapoor kids. and that goes to all trio.

frosty, one of biggest smile kareena gave me as a fan, when i saw her pictures with her dad in the hospital. one great moment that was.

i know all about bebo and karishma's struggles and triumps. there was a time when i used to live for them.

I am by no means undermining other people's struggle. Was just responding to the topic maker. Neither bebo nor lolo grew up in luxury. If the topic had been other actresses I would have defended them as well. Also bebo did not have to face the casting couch, unfortunately Karisma did.

Yes,it is still a luxury for millions of ppl in India. Its not like US where Kids are handed out a car when they turn 16. Millions still dream of owning a car in India. Why do you think Tata Nano sent ppl into frenzy? Owning a car was now possible for lower middle class too.

Check here, the statistic says that 797 ppl own a car out of 1000 ppl,whereas in India its just 18 ppl out of 1000. This is in 2010. N Kareena is talking about 1990s. So yes, owning a car is a luxury of sorts in India. 😳

Ofcourse by Bollywood standard , Kareena/karishma might not have had a cozy life and not undermining their struggle but they were better off than many others.
