Its not only about author-backed roles, but HOW an actor performs and translated it to celluloid. Acting is not just about out of the box roles, but making ordinary roles extra ordinary... even in a single HAHK she has shown like 1000 expressions ... acting just comes naturally to her...she do it with so much ease that she became that character ... not like Sri whose every performance seems like pure filmy and is quite visible that she is acting it out.
errr yeah...
the same logic can be applied in sridevi's case with the likes of chandni , judaai and laadla...
everyone has a preference as to whom they like better...and thts fine...
but ruling out sridevi's acting as being too "filmy' while madhuri being a natural?
if anything, I consider the case the opposite way...sridevi was uninhibited, natural and fearless in front of the camera which is why she could master something as difficult as comedy...
