u say sadma was kamal Hassan's show and yet ur ready to attribute pukar and parinda to madhuri even though anil kapoor and nana patekar ran the show there??? thts extremely flawed logic...sadma had equally challenging parts for both kamal and sridevi...

as for awards, Even sridevi was awarded the padmasree...and she recently received her awards for Mr india and Nagina at the FF ceremony because they weren't conducted in the years 1987 and 1988...

the debate isn't abt who is the "offscreen angel"...its abt who is the country's biggest female superstar...and I think sridevi proved that with her comeback film which had no hit songs, no masala, nothing...just her acting...and it still became a success despite her being away from the camera for a decade and a bit...thts true starpower

Sri just has lamhe , sadma (mainly kamal haasan movie) and chalbaaz as great performances (chandni and gumrah were above average) while Madhuri got Prahaar at the very early stage of her career, also sangeet and Parinda... not to forget Pukar, Lajja, Beta, Anjaam, Mrityu Dand, Devdas, prem granth etc ..

besides movies, she excelled as a person too offscreen and is an inspiration for millions...while sri's offscreen image is a BIG ZERO.

What you say is subjective...

Its a viewpoint so cant be used as an argument

They both are great actresses , I dont deny that

But an actress also needs BO pull and Sridevi wins in that case

And Sridevi is just shy so she doesnt like every actor coming on some scripted reality show to sing her praises

when she had filmfare, it was quite a credible award... (early and mid 90's...when even aamir was attending every function until 1996)... the corruption started from post 2000.

Not to mention her highest Govt level award Padma Shree for extraordinary services for entertainment industry.

If awards werent corrupted in 90s trashy performances in KKHH,RH,DTPH wouldnt have got best best actor/actress awards😆

so u mean she was not good enough to get awards for Dil, Beta, Hum aapke hain kaun (anjaam was also nominated), dtph, devdas ...?
and someone like kajol deserves all awards for her screechings and OTT shoutings in k3g, kkhh, ddlj, and especially Mnik ?
and karshma for her routine filmi acting for raja hindustani 😕

no u were saying that corrruption in award functions started post 2000 so i brought these performances/movies to show that corruption was always there. And coming to madhuri's awards , i dont think she deserved it for DTPH

If she deserves this acknowledgement

then Katrina deserves a filmfare

Kareena deserves a national award

and PC effin deserves an Oscar

just bcuz she was the top actress of her time that doesnt mean she was the best too

In my opinion awards for all three movies, DTPH, HAHK and Dil were bakwaas. She was overrated in these movies. Tell me what is so great about her role in HAHK or DTPH?
