i dint DENY what u have felt/noticed while u have watched d film.. i only told my part of understanding of the character.

nd there is nothing to wait for time to tell us, as Dhanush's performance and his enigma isnt hidden now.. and i repeat when the TM has mentioned about enacting a role, on basis of his acting capabilty, i have said yeah he can do it..

Dhanush can definitely do a Barfii, but he can NEVER do a bunny in YJHD.. but RK did both.. so thats what RK cud do becos he looks " good " too..

The film's you mentioned are mediocre. They made bare minimum money.

A reality check is what is needed.

I won't say he is not talented , he is a good actor but ve never seen him outside his comfort zone!

Most of the movies down south have this theme of stalking , boy after girl , cop , masala crap 🥱

Movies with theme like raanjhana are done to death down south and I absolutely abhor watching it again in a different language !

😆😆 I didnt feel, Anurag himself reiterated this fact- script was written like that. The father names his son Murphy being a fan but the character being mute is unable to pronounce it correctly hence Barfi. The premise starts from there thats why the character needs to be good looking. Dhanush may be talented and must have done well but is not suitable for this role-Barfi. That is exactly what I stated. Not every actor can suit every role, there is something called personality which plays an important role.

u found his performance/popularity mediciore, but he has proven that his appreciations are justified ..

We mostly went for ARR which was the only saving grace of Ranjaana.

I am not sure what is the hoopla over Dhanush guy . He is a decent actor , has a national award to his name and son in law of none other than Rajnikanth but then I find so many other actors far better than this guy in tamil and the southern film industry both in looks and talent. Dhanush's forte is intense roles, haven't seen him attempt comedy centric or rom com roles much !

To answer your question someone as one dimensional as Danush can never do a Barfi.

Dhanush had many hits and few super hits in Tamil. He has equal amount of flop movies too. Few of his flop movies and his acting were critically acclaimed. True he had enacted similar characters. But seeing his upcoming movies he seems to try different characters now. But neverthless down south he is critics' favourite today and is a super star through his hard work.

According to me he would have done justice to Barfi too.
