Its true that its unpredictable. But were not Race2 and Himmatwala sureshot hits? Race2 was a Republic weekend release while Himmatwala was the last big release pre-IPL and also a Holi weekend release. These were supposed to be predictable films which were supposed be making predictable amount of money. It was a question of how much above 100 cr and not if it will make 100 cr.

As for me I always knew YJHD will do well. I was the only one who predicted a 50cr+ weekend for YJHD on this forum. Ofcourse I didnt expect it to beat Salman's films on weekend or cross lifetime.

BOI was the only one which had the guts to compare YJHD with Salman's films so I was happy when they gave comparision predictions and posted those articles. Taran finally got guts now and has also started saying on twitter now that YHJD will be beating most records if not all.

BOI usually gives lesser than TA's figures and I believe that the real figures are somewhere in between BOI's and TA's figures. But this time TA and BOI were giving similar figures so no issues in using either. And even if you use TA's figures Dabangg2 has been beaten resoundingly by YJHD.

You can pull out my JTHJ posts. I dont have any issues. I dont gloat over BO collections of poor films of my favorite stars because I have nothing else in the film to talk about. Its you who do it. Hence your stars records are already challenged by a star who is 20 years younger than him. 😆

I can't talk about SRK as SRk fans themselves don't talk about him, but would like to discuss about Aamir & Salman in this thread.

Aamir Khan with D:3 & PK will make another huge records, but when he won't do movies, it will be broken soon...

Salman has edge over everyone in 1 thing for sure as Movie works coz of Him Alone & without any support of media/critics/postive WOM still he scores like 160 & 199 cr...

So the question of this thread is not only Ranbir or Ark, is it 1 film success like YJHD, or now New Stars have that much star power as they can break KHANS films record?

Will ARK + RK combo will break RECORDS in future or RK alone in Solo film, ARK alone in Solo film will create this YJHD magic again?

I do believe that Ranbir Kapoor is over-hyped by the media and in the media. There was nothing special about Rockstar, Barfi (no originality!) and YJHD...I also believe that KJo and Ayan knew very well that signing Deepika and Ranbir together will surely create curiosity. I also do believe that Ranbir, Katrina and Ayan coming to KJo's Bday party together was a last-minute plan to get everyone including the media talking again.. That said, I am waiting for the day Ranbir gets married, like Hrithik did, and then only will his work and status in this industry signify something...for now, it's all hype and hype!
