B.O. update: 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' takes mindboggling start!

The first major release after IPL, YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI, fetched a 95% to 100% start in the morning shows. With a screen count stretching to more than 3,000 screens in India alone, the much-talked-about movie is expected to fetch fabulous numbers on Day 1 as well as in its opening weekend.
Like I pointed out in the Biz Talk two days ago, "Ranbir Kapoor enjoys tremendous popularity amongst the paying public thanks to his choice of films. In addition, the pairing of Ranbir-Deepika, the popularity of Aditya Roy Kapur soon after the super success of AASHIQUI 2, Ayan Mukerji's credibility after WAKE UP SID, the trendy soundtrack, the right marketing and KJo's brand value' all these factors combined together will ensure a fantabulous start for YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI in India and Overseas."
Of course, it remains to be seen how YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI performs at smaller centres/single screens, but the multiplex business will be so huge that UTV should collect a big fat total eventually.

So now Anything less than 33 cr Day 1 & 160 cr of D2 final... This film will be a Disappointment for sure 👎🏼
