YJHD is a poor script
But this is BW we are talking about where scripts only matter so much
Race 2 was a success and so was JTHJ
Ranbir has a long way to go

There was a lack of good romantic films with a star cast.. YJHD fit the bill.. people lapped it up.

People say it wasn't RK who led to YJHD's success.. rubbish.. it was a 2 1/2 hr film with 2 hours of RK... the movie was centered around the guy.

Ranbir has been building a fan base for sometime.. he's smart in the sense that even though he has nothing going for him looks wise or even talent wise... but the way he has projected himself to the public... I chanced upon his interviews and all the responses to the videos are along the lines of "He's so honest" Like he's a vulnerable baby manipulated by the ladies 😆

The people are lapping up his off screen personality...

Don't worry RK is only competition for SRK not for AK or Salman because most of fan followings of RK n srk are common..😊
n i'm confident that D3 will definitely improve Aamir's own record...😊

If you're talking numbers, maybe YJHD has broken many records, but that doesn't mean anything. You cannot credit just Ranbir for the films success, therefore you cant really say he's overtaken anybody.
Do you think if there was a newcomer in place of Deepika that the movie would be successful? Highly Doubt it.
The movie is a hit for many reasons besides Ranbir n Deepika:
1) The drought in cinema, this has been a lack-luster year with a lack of good films, the trailer of this movie had a feel-good air around it which helped.
2) The lack of romantic movies, its been a while now since we have seen one so this fit that pothole.
3) The over-scandalized relationship of Ranbir-Deepika was def used to promote the film.
Even after all this success, the movie has not made an "impact". 70% of the people who have seen it, hate it, Its not the same when you come out of a Khan movie. Bringing in money doesn't mean anything, you have to leave your stamp on peoples heart, and they should take the charactesr home with them in their minds. (Obviously Ranbir fans are going to say that they did that) But overall, even though the numbers are great, nobody had that "wow" feeling they did when they came out seeing 3 Idiots or even Ek Tha Tiger.

^^^

really? what was so WOW in that crap...Ek Tha tiger??? It was a half baked nonsense?

And I am sure Salman will fade out...Salman's startdom is as much dependent on the masala..it is no coicindence that many masala movies did well...once that decreases which it is...and his horrible overhyped craps in D2 and ETT..especially bodyguard...people will loose confidence even in the Masala he did which was good (Dabangg and wanted )...

I think Aamir will sustain his market for a while...and SRK too...but Salman will fade out...as soon as one of his movies fail...you would struggle to see a young Salman fan in urban demographics...by I mean JUST salman hardcore fan

Hell No!

And no matter how hard the media tries, the credit for the success of this movie does not go to RK alone. It also goes to ARK and Deepika. All the Khans will show who the real boss is when their movies come out. Until then the press can carry on with their BS. 😆
