He's known for his dedication towards fitness, but now, it looks like professional sportsmen, too, are impressed with Akshay Kumar's fitness regime. That probably explains why whenever boxer Vijender Singh (Olympic medal winner) and cricketer Harbhajan Singh are in Mumbai, they choose to work out at the actor's home.
"Akshay has such a strong image when it comes to fitness and sports that Vijender and Bhajji feel comfortable with him. They exchange tips about various work-out techniques and try work out methods such as boxing, sparring and a lot of cardio exercises," says an insider. These gym meetings also serve as bonding sessions for the three friends.
The actor has a special gym at his Juhu home, where he practises exercises like Pilates and martial arts. "It's not like their training sessions happen often, since all of them are busy with their respective careers. But whenever Akshay and the others are in town, they do meet and work out together."
While Akshay couldn't be reached for a comment, Vijender confirms the news, saying, "Yes, whenever I am in town (Mumbai) I work out with Akshay bhai." Incidentally, Vijender will make his Bollywood debut with Fugly, which is an Akshay production. "With Akshay bhai and Kabir (Sadanand, director), we hope everything works out fine," says the boxer about his acting debut.
