I agree with that...there is only so much a family does...the star kids may have it a little easier in the beginning but ultimately they have to survive on their own...that's why some star kids make and others don't...BW is a tough business...they may give you a couple of chances because of ur family name ...but no one will put money on u if the audience doesn't accept u..

Yes, even I agree that come to think of it everyone is a self made star. Of course you have some sort of push/advantage coming from a filmy background, but at the end its you who has to make the way through the audience and garner appreciation. Your family won't come and help you there. You have to create your own stardom (if that makes any sense).

But I still do have a higher amount of respect for those stars who started from scratch and made their way up the ladder! :)

Nawazuddin Siddiqui among the actors in the list, is truly a self-made star...he is not conventionally good-looking but is amazingly talented!

he is not exactly an INSPIRATION😆
he is known for is linkups more than acting in 90's
but still he achieved something right😉

Isn't Ranveer second cousin to Sonam Kapoor? That means he had connections with Bollywood. Srk, Nawazuddin, Akshay etc., belong to this category, not him.

When I read that Dharmendra used to walk miles in the hot afternoon sun b/c he didn't have bus/taxi money (and this one time even when there was flooding) for auditions I was like that's WAY more struggling than what the actors of today complain about, especially when star kids whine and complain about it--it's damn annoying. I mean at least they get offers by just sitting at home, don't really have to audition, and never have to leave an Air-conditioned automobile to get a gig.

But kudos to Dharmendra, Big B, and Jeetendra...I've read about their struggles, but I'm sure many more have been through similiar hardships.

True at some point. But not everyone gets the same opportunities as star kids do. I mean the average person still has to jump through hoops and work way harder before even getting the chance to become as assistant to a director, but I bet it only took a phone call for Sonam, Ranbir, Varun, etc to get that chance.

Nice list with some exceptions

preity should be there but shes not that popular now and didnt have connections and some Actresses in list should not be there , the actor list is much better !!
