If we're looking at talent alone, Shahid is far more talented than Ranbir will ever be. He is also a fab dancer and good looking to boot. Shahid's problem is that he picks awful scripts. If he picks really good scripts, he'll leave Ranbir far behind. Picking Mausam over OUATIM2 and ZNMD was plain stupid. All for a chance to work with his dad. Can't believe he gave up 2 years of his time to that disaster. Hope his next couple movies are hits. He is someone who definitely deserves success.

I have no problem with ranbir and find him a great actor but i think these days he is being overhyped mainly cos there is no competition actingwise from the other A-listers since 2011 ! Salman(barring dabangg series),ajay has unofficially quit acting, aamir isnt also delivering upto the mark ,SRK is doing roles that dont suit him,only akshay seems to have stepped out of the comfort zone this yr and this yr i think ranbir cant top actingwise !

why Ranbir has to be like a khan ???? what is this > he can't be SRK or aamir or Salman ?????

Please do not assume I was posting only in reply to you. My posts in the thread were about the article and some comments that alleged that while Khans are yet to be crossed, others are left because they became "superstars later".

Raajneeti is experimental. But it's not like seniors did not do experimental or risky cinema. So Ranbir does not really score brownie points above seniors here.

The article has sparked off debate only because they try to put RK above others (seniors included) which is wrong!

RK has also played urban yuppie lover mainly except Barfi, Raajneeti.

Rocket Singh is experimental? How? It is different. But it is not experimental, risky or arthouse.

And the article talks of stardom, nay, superstardom. So why mix content here? Discussions on content of films are different.

My responses were in vein with the article, PR and spin put by media and some fanatics. I am not targetting any RK supporter individually.
