Thats true...even i have heard that ..that was the reason...people had suggested that a muslim actor would not be accepted that easily by the audience and hence he kept a Hindu name...Things were so different back then and so not fair...even female actors were not accepted...Thank God things have changed for the better now...Discrimination is at its minimum...although still females are discriminated against in BW sometimes...but religion doesn't ...otherwise BW wouldn't be ruled by the Khans👏

That is what my dad told me he changed the industry .

Apparently on the sets of Mughal-e-azam Privithraj Kapoor treated him poorly and DK told one day your whole family would think its an honor if they get to work with me 😳😳😳.
