Actor Sunil Shetty is all to remake Dev Anand starrer superhit film 'Johny Mera Naam'. Sunil Shetty's production house in collaboration with producer Shabbir Boxwala has set to produce the film. David Dhawan has been roped in to direct the film. Vijay Anand had directed the original version.
As per reports, Rajiv Rai, son of Gulshan Rai, who made the original, has given his go-ahead to Sunil Shetty.
Initially Rai however was a little reluctant, but on fulfilling his demand that Abhishek Bachchan to be taken for Dev Anand's role, he has given his nod.
Presently Dhawan is working on the script, and as per starcast is concerned Sunil Shetty has talked to Abhishek Bachchan. If rumourmongers to be believed, Abhishek has given his nod, only his dates remains to be adjusted.
However Sunil himself is not acting in the film. "I won't be acting in any of my home productions. My intentions are to make a good film. I want Junior," maintains the actor.
