How do you forget most epic movies where the hero portray negative character, infact he is most famous for roles of stalking, attempt murder his heroine.

Baazigar : Throw shilpa from building

Daar : stalking juhi from starting to end so also try to kill her
infact that kkk kiran is the inspiration for many starlker

Anjaam : stalk Madhuri , kill her husband

Ramjane : stalking juhi

True but in all of those films he wasn't being passed off as the quintessential hero. Audiences were explicitly made aware of the fact that those were negative roles and those actions were morally wrong. It was not as if he was playing the good guy and those acts were being justified. If I am not mistaken, he dies in all of those films hence proving that wrong doings do not go unpunished. I think the author of this article is comparing heroes to heroes and how they were portrayed in masala films versus SRK's romantic films. In the masala films, the hero is the savior and the heroine is almost always a lost babe in the woods. On the contrary, in SRK's films, the heroine was given equal importance regarding her choices and feelings and did not need saving from SRK's characters.

Shahrukh is master in PR and marketing. This article is biased.

@Bold: 🤣 🤣 Oh dear God.

This article isn't written for some newspaper or magazine where his PR could have a hand in it. I'm pretty sure it's a blog-type article 😛

And the films you mentioned- he was supposed to be "Villain" or the anti-hero. And the actresses still had a strong role in those films, they weren't some flowerpots, so what you talking about?

SRK is trying hard to get attention away from the PC fiasco..first it was favorite tag is 'papa'
Now actress name should be shown before him in the credits..

This👍🏼
That is the difference...In all these movies Shahrukh was doing what a bad guy would do...he doesn't get the girl in the end...the girl doesn't get impressed by him and fall in love with him..thus justifying the stalking...there is a difference between a hero stalking a girl and a bad guy stalking a girl...

The anti hero is projected as hero , in all those movie they potray a passionate lover , or show him as hero in the name of anti hero where the heroine is just play the helpless women. So he is not any special category hero who show women in good light, yes he played some middle class character where heroine is also working women. Although i like those anti hero movies because of acting and story :)

I don't agree. I watched Raam Jane as a kid so don't remember it very well. But I remember Anjam, Darr and Baazigar really well. SRK's characters were never passed off as the hero. In fact in Anjam, he is so vicious that Madhuri's character ends up being the hero of the film. In Darr, Sunny is the hero and SRK the villian throughout. Stalking was shown in a bad light in Darr, it was never glorified. The fact that Juhi's character gets agitated and scared every time the phone rings was proof that stalking is not healthy.

^Contrary to what the current generation thinks of course. Thanks to a certain dumb vampire series, stalking is now cute 😳
