I didn't get the point of the movie, it was boring, plus it was promoted as a suspense thriller!

I liked the movie. I do believe in the supernatural & things like life after death. Also having read many books on this subject I was pleased to find a ghost story which wasnt cliched & overly dramatized with weird graphics or sound effects. Also when a movie is promoted as a horror film everyone goes in with the mission to find the ghost...spotting Kareena as the ghost would have been too easy then. Maybe that was why they concentrated on the suspense thriller part than the supernatural part of it.

omg, FAULTIER than anything!

You CAN'T make such a detailed thriller for a frikkin supernatural plot, I'm sorry, but it's true.

Can't believe how frustrated this movie left me, even watched it twice. RIDICULOUS plot, to say the least

What does believable have to do with anything?

Some of the best books/scripts in the world are fantasy based.

And what did people expect them to promote it as? A supernatural thriller? Taking away the mystery and the shock value of the film because everybody expected a "ghost" to do it. Who would take the film seriously?

Talaash is a film where it's more about the journey, than the end and its a beautifully made film.

Talaash tried accomodating too many things at the same (and limited) time and within a narrow space. That was the be-all of its 'problem'. At least according to me. Otherwise it was a treat.

P.S. Let's not compare it with Kahani. Kahani was an out-an-out thriller which stayed true to the genre till its climax. It had ample underplayed human drama, but it was mainly a thriller. Talaash, on the other hand, was an emotional drama disguised as a crime/supernatural thriller.

was it believable? nope

it was na amazing movie in terms of aamir's redemption ..him getting over his misplaced guilt.

I never saw the movie promoted as a suspense, so it was good by me.. my friend was in the middle of all the this big budget ads marketing it as a suspense movie..as s suspense movie, it sucked.
