Why do BOLLYWOOD FILMS crash QUICKLY TODAY?!!!

😕🥱 HOLLYWOOD also seems to be the same way. Gone are the days when films even last a month. Within 1 week, the film makes money, crashes, and is either declared a flop or average. Some are even lucky to breakeven. The only films that are hits are the hyped star vehicles (Khans, Hrithik, Akshay, etc.) or low-budget films that get word of mouth, or "My Name is Balan" (😉). However, BOLLYWOOD will never be able to capitalize on a long-running film. Gone are the days of silver julibee or even golden julibee. Why do BOLLYWOOD FILMS crash QUICKLY TODAY?! Please share your thoughts. 😲

Huge releases of films and over exposure is the reason. But there as also exceptions like TDP and Kahaani both went on to do 100 days. So did Life of Pi in India.

I think it's mixture of obvious reasons such as star power, promotional activities as well as the quality of the movie and technology

Movies nowadays lack the repeat quality where the viewer is urged to watch a movie at a theater for multiple times. Moreover, movies hit Torrent and other downloading sites within few weeks from the release so why bother going all the way to a theater when you can watch it online

Also its the age of internet. After some days of release we get fine print of the movie readily available for downloading. Plus there are pirated DVD/CD available in the market. People mostly go to theater to experience watching movie or their star on a big screen or just to hang out. In olden times it was a novelty to watch movies in theater as there wasn't any other means to watch it.
