The audience and critics should just give the "tujhko mirchi lagi toh main kya karoon..." kind of attitude to this disastrous duo.

Usually the films are doing good at box office so I guess that make them think they are above critics .but this film might flop so he is really insecure . I wouldn't be surprised if sajid or ajay say audience was bamboozled by critics 😆😆

when ur making a movie for the whole world to see, then be man enough to handle all the critisism tht comes ur way...u may not agree with it, and thts perfectly fine...but therz no need to put down a sector of the audience like tht...

look at rohit shetty...he dosent make critically acclaimed films either..but he dosent go on a rampage insulting critics or anyone who dosent like his brand of cinema...he genuinely dosent "care" abt critics unlike some others who claim to not care abt critics reviews and yet diss critics in every third statement of theirz...

rohit shetty has a new fan in me now...

That is such an insensitive thing to say! Years of living with queen-of-rudeness Kajol have rubbed on you or what? Eunuchs are human-beings too Ajay and how i wish one solid court case could be slapped into your ever smoking and ever smirking face. A bad film is a bad film and you deal with it.

Your bit about Rohit remins me of Mihir Fadvanis saying the exact same thing a few days back on twitter. 😆 He said that it's one thing to say "I make films for the audience and I don't care for critics" like Rohit does and another to be really disgusting and arrogant about it like Sajid is.

Mostly, I've always felt that those who say they don't "care" about critics actually do. Its pretty normal to be affected by negativity around something you worked hard for, but to say I don't care about them & insult them like this, along with another sector of the audience is below the belt.

As for Ajay, I think he may just be getting irritated because he's not used to critics trashing his films like this. He's generally been a fav of critics and his films usually get decent reviews. 😆

i dunt get wht the fuss is abt...

sajid said tht himmatwala wont get more than half a star from any critic...so they are expecting trashy reviews anyway...they r clear abt the fact tht critics wont like it...

so whts the big deal when critics actually dunt like it? i thought they were already prepared for it...but now they r lashing out at critics as if they are being victimized or something...

i do think that it is possible for some directors to not give a damn abt the critics...like Prabhu deva or rohit shetty hardly ever talk abt the critics or their response...they r clear abt their priorities when making a film...

rohit and Prabhu, although make "critically trashed" films, they seem to genuinely not care abt the reviews and seem to make those films because they have a real passion/interest for such kinda cinema ...

but sajid and farah dunt strike me as ppl who "dunt care"...they strike me as ppl who care wayy more than necessary abt the critics and in the process make make kachra of their films...its more like they make films out of spite to rub them into the critics faces which is probably why both of them have been failing recently...

i think rohit and prabhu play to win, and farah n sajid play not to lose...the former is anyday a better approach...

From some tweets I read defending Sajid against the negativity, basically what I got was that they think critics should judge Sajid's films differently...like some folks were saying that it's not like Sajid promised us a 3 Idiots that critics should expect that and act like they didn't get what they were promised 😕

Honestly, critics just did their job. If you already know you're going to get bad reviews, your film won't be liked by them then why bother if they really do hate it. 😆

I agree about Sajid-Farah. Farah cares, but less than Sajid I think. Maybe because she hasn't received as bad reviews for her films as he has. Sajid really seems to have made Himmatwala to spite critics..you hate my films, let me put more into it that you'll hate...in so many interviews he boasted about how critics will hate it, but audience will love it. Seems like he was too focused on making a film that every critic on the planet would hate, that he didn't realize even the audience has a tolerance level. 😆 Rohit-Prabhu deva do seem more genuine..and I think they're more liked as filmmakers too by critics. I've read in a few reviews for other masala films that they ended up missing Rohit Shetty's touch in the film. 😆
