Priyadarshan's Rangrezz is the Hindi remake of the 2009 Tamil film Naadodigal. This is, in fact, the fifth separate remake of the movie after Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Bengali versions. You would think that after having those many tries at the script, they would have fixed some of the kinks. Well, you would think wrong! Because this movie starring Jackky Bhagnani (as Rishi), produced, of course, by his father Vashu Bhagnani, is a film that can't be saved even by the random inclusion of a South Korean song that's got over a billion YouTube hits!

The actor is the son of great Producer Vasu Baghnani😆
But I wonder why Sahil Anand is even wasting time in reviewing these movies, I wish he had done for other movies of the biggies of BW...Like Dabangg2, Son of Sardar etc...

Watched it this Saturday. Bakwas movie. Don't know when Bollywood will stop remaking these stupid South Indian movies. If they want to remake something, can't they atleast pick up the good movies from South India, there are lots of those as well.

One more thing that is not mentioned in the cartoon strip, but I found extremely baffling. There is a motorcycle riding guy who helps the group of friends, both while helping the couple in eloping as well as when kidnapping the couple towards the end. And the guy just randomly appears and helps them, no background was given as to who he is, how he knows them and why he is helping them.

The whole movie is a disjointed, fragmented mess. Nothing to like about it at all.

😲 You don't know Jacky Bhagnani? Now that he has invented the Indian Gangnam style which is set to become a craze, at least now you will

The movie received a lot of praise when it was first released in Tamil. I guess it was was a hit as it is a lesson for young people, especially college students who are ready to spoil their own lives to make their friends' romantic escapades successful.

Have not seen the hindi version and most likely will not as I prefer not to see Priyadarshan remakes. The guy totally loses the essence of movies when he blindly copies everything without understanding the subtleties that gave charm to the original.
