As for being a showpiece, well all her films are love stories...female lead can't be a showpiece in a rom-com...you need a hero and heroine & it's their journey. 😆

She seems conscious of trying to do something different in terms of her roles at least. She's hardly even been in the industry for 1.5 years and definitely won't get offers like Vidya, PC, Kareena do for now. So it's silly to expect that right now.

Plus like Shreya had once said, time and again we have seen, actresses became part of the big league with a big romantic film--Katrina, Kareena, Deepika, Kajol, Juhi, Aishwarya, Preity, etc...Vidya-Priyanka are probably the only exceptions to this in the last few years but then again PC's new lease of life was Barfi which people have slotted into a romantic film. Don't discount the rom-coms 😆

Hmm... I think Parineeti (from what i've seen so far) doesn't act, she simply is herself in films.

Anushka is like that to some extent, she has the same style of speaking in her films, but is very good with emotion so it doesn't bug us much.

I think Anushka will last, Parineeti needs to prove herself in these next films that she can do different kind of roles. It's too soon to decide now.

BUT ANUSHka has done 7films..

Compare them with 2 films

Anushka

1st solo lead with SRK in AditiyaChopra's movie a dream launch, movie was hyped but she didnt make her mark

2nd Badmaash Company where she wasn't really appreciated.

while Parineeti has done 2..n she seems to be getting good feedback..

ALso people saying pari's missing.. shes done 2movies in 1yr 3 months..

Anuskha did the same .. RNBDJ was 2008 then Badmaash Company was 2010 both YRF films.

Thats how YRF works.

Ranveer Sighn has done 2 films only n he was launched in 2010.. A YEAR ahead of Parineeti

I think she needs to clear her throat before speaks . She talks as if she has something in it. Her scratchy voice won't help any thing.

She also said she wants to dance . Maybe do a dance film

Oh Gaurav, you make it sound like these people are just waiting in line to sign her and she can just go pick and choose. As if she can just exclaim, "I wanna work with Mani Ratnam!!!" and a script will magically appear for her to read and sign on board for. She needs to get offers from these people first. 😆

Anyway, she's been in the industry for a little more than 1.5 years, and from the two films she's done, she seems promising. We won't know if she's doing different films until we at least see posters and trailers of her upcoming films. Only time will tell; too early to judge.

YRF doesn't even list it in its upcoming films yet. 😳
