Interesting burst of honesty i see, right after the movie released and safely collected those 100 crores. Nice.

So much in films is about the right thing happening at the right time. He's been around for ages, but I think this is his time. I have been around for ages also and I think this is my time too (smiles). Like our country, our cinema is also very diverse. It's very difficult to make people agree on what's a good film. With Bullet Raja and Tigmanshu, I think we have got a good chance here of people appreciating the film as well as of it doing well commercially.

In Rowdy Rathore, Akshay Kumar's really funny and entertaining and I really enjoyed the film.

You're bringing up issues he's already regretted. He already aknowledged that it wasnt professional of him to make those statements during Love Aaj Kal. And I havent seen him doing anything of that sort after that.

In fact, he completely avoids talking about Kareena and praises other actresses over her, to the extent that he said during a recent Metro interview that he didnt really miss working with Kareena coz their pairing doesnt work. But he did miss Bipasha in Race 2.

And when has Saif said those things you mentioned? I think you're confusing Kareena's quotes with Saif's.

She brags more about him than he does about himself.

Even IF Saif didnt watch hindi films, he might have let it slip once or twice in his interviews, but he wont brag about it.

Like recently for Race 2 promotions, when asked about to comment about John, instead of saying I dont watch hindi films, he instead praised him in Garam Masala and how he has great comic timing and his son was such a fan of the film.

Not a recent film is it? But instead of saying that he doesnt watch a lot of hindi films, Saif instead chose to speak of the one he HAD seen.

Doesnt strike me as a guy who wants to give off that image, at least not anymore

He is as much a commercial actor as the rest. he is no art actor which his fans says he is.

by not his type, i meant something tht he wouldnt whole heartedly do or LIKE to watch onscreen...Cockail was one of those too...he clearly said he did them to compesate for the losses tht happened with AV and not particularly his interest in tht particular genre or in making such a film...he even did LAK because it was a "safe bet" for a first production being a romantic comedy...

he PREFERS working in genres like Omkara, EHT etc but they dunt make money, so he does commercial cinema instead. SRK does the same...he hates love stories and romantic movies and likes doing thrillers and action cinema, but he does the former for box office and personal equations...and he admits it himself...

no one ever said saifs NOT a commercial actor...he is very much so...so yeh, quit mocking the so called "Fans" by making ur own lofty assumptions abt wht i say...

Well some was making claims about how he was an off-beat actor etc. and how he was so different from the rest when he is no better in that department.

So what you want the audience to do? before watching a movie they should call Saif and ask him why he did this movie if he says he just did it for the sake of money and not because the movie was good then audience should get sympathy and judge the movie according to this statement.

You sign a movie that means you believe in the project, you deliver it and audience will of course judge you for it. You can't expect audience to say so what saif is doing mindless movies but personally he wants to do quality movies hence we can't dislike his film choices.

Each actor prefers quality cinema but since most of those movies don't work then they do commercial movies. So it's not like saif is the only one.

He is as commercial actor as the rest, just because he does 2-3 off beat movies won't change a fact.

It strikes me as being obnoxious. Being honest didn't mean he should have wasted so many interviews complaining about how he wanted Kareena in Love Aaj Kal. Why be rude to your costar? It's just like Tigmanshu Dhulia using Mahi Gill for being cheap but then giving interviews about how he would get Kareena if he could. Honesty doesn't mean you can get away with calling someone a kalli billi just because they have dark skin.

Only ranting because the word honesty is dropped as if if it's this great thing someone is doing when it needs a lot more context than that.

don't bring srk in here. i never heard that guy say anything bad about his ra1. so what it didn't do wonders ...he said he had a vision...he had a dream...he fulfilled it.

i was giving an example based on my argument and not the one u are mentioning in the post above...
