Leave it up to IF to come up with the most stupid comments. Why are Indians so freaked out about anything slightly sexual? What is the problem if SRK showed his butt in Maya Memsaab? It was a movie based on classic literature and funded by the French film council. It was an art movie and the rest of the world is not bothered about nudity the way Indians are. It wasn't even meant to be titillating.

It's still better than ripping shirts off for no reason, making girls shake their boobs and asses in item numbers for horny men in the audience, or condoning huge amounts of violence. All those things are part of every BW movie and nobody seems to care about that. Talk about double standards and hypocrisy.

Was it.??😲...I never knew that...I always thought that SRK did it for survival...and because beggars are not choosers...I have not watched MM yet but maybe I will watch it now😆...

Of course! 😆 Maya Memsaab is based on Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert. It was made for French television and aired on a French TV channel after it was made. The international version doesn't have songs. That was just for India, I think.

SRK was very arty in those days. He used to do English theater in Delhi so something like this was normal for him, except for the nudity, I guess. Even that, I don't think he really cares about it. It's just that he knows how Indian society is and we can see from the people freaking out here over a minor scene how it goes down with the desi audience.

He sold out his art sensibilities for money. Who can blame him. Rather make money doing stupid films than die poor and begging for change everyday.
