Actually... maybe. I watched ETT, and I couldn't stand its stupidity. But yes a large percent of its success was due to Salman. I wouldn't discredit Katrina fans though, or the fans of actions flicks.

ETT's success to this level overall is not just due to Salman but also due to YRF, Katrina. That said, the credit of its success goes more to Salman because it's all about him. He's the title character, story was weak, it relied only on his and Katrina's face value to attract auduence plus that film is neither a remake, franchise or having equally potent ensemble cast. Salman dominates more.

Given the topic the TM has tried to counter, I'd say ETT and Gadar type films have other factors too, but their heroes have relatively more share in credit of success than an ensemble, multistarrer or previously blockbuster franchise.

It's like, Sunny alone isn't responsible for success of Border. But for Gadar he'll get more credit - despite other factors for success in place.

yup salman is the only reason why it is one of the biggest ATBB 😎 his name alone is enough to make it a hit!!

Love him or hate him but if it was someone else in that role rather than him than the film wouldn't have done that great of course Katrina would have made it a hit cause she has a huge fanbase following. MBKD did well only because of her.
