It was
1)Preachy,
2)Loud
3)Illogical
Apart from some good dialogues here and there, I found the overall plot forced and overly spoon-feeding. Please defend.

It was one of the best movies of bollywood in recent times. For once the screenplay was the hero and the dialogues though at times were insensitive towards religion it was the bitter truth! The scenes and situations mentioned are very real something that actually happens!

To get the real meaning behind the movie one should be open minded a very orthodox or conservative person would find it offensive!

I really loved Akki is this film, his presentation of modern day Krishna was beautiful!

My fav line from this movie is when Paresh Rawal's character tells his wife how will her fasting wash away his sins..it's like her phone is kept for charging but his battery get's full!!! (something on those lines) another fav line is when Krishna drops off Paresh on the way to his house, he has my job is to show you the path not drop you off at the destination!

i dnt think it was preachy or loud in any way. the comedy was subtle unlike other akshay mvies and the film gave out a good mssg without being over educational. i feel like its the most underrated mvie of the year jst cuz it stars akki. akshay's mvies will never sit well with the general critics or pseudos no matter how gud they are. i feel the overrated mvies of the year wre vicky donor, ev. typical run of the mill stuff. omg had a new concept. even barfi's overrated. half of the scenes r copied. and btw, omg had the best wom out of all these best mvies of the year. did 85 crs after an opening of 4 crs

Oh please! Oh My God is one of the best films to have ever come out in Bollywood in recent times! Just because it has no Khan, Kapoor or Bachchan and has an Akshay Kumar in it, so easy to trash it?

It takes BALLS to make and be a part of a movie like OMG in India! These are issues which need to be addressed, questions that need to be asked but never are, even by educated people because Indians go blind in name of religion. We have even movie stars marrying trees and doing whatnot in name of religion!

OMG is the first mainstream film to attack dogma. It is gutsy, daring, questionative, without being offensive. And quoting from all major religions was a masterstroke! It was awesome how they balanced it all, and successfully walked the tight rope.

If the same film was an Aamir or SRK film, people would've called it game changer or honoured it with National awards, written petitions for it to be sent to Oscars. But it has consummate character actors and only an Akshay Kumar for face value, so yeah go and put it aside or trash it!

Dialogues were great, incisive without being offensive. Performances fab - Paresh and Mithun being the crowning glory. Portrayal of God was cool. I am glad they tried to emphasise how God can be normal also. Values given by God matter, not the outward persona humans tend to associate God with.

Don't forget this is the same film which gave sleepless nights to Raju Hirani and made him rework script of PK to avoid comparisons (Sanjay Dutt's character has been added only recently in PK after reworking its script - according to HT).

Lovers and defenders of masala or romance better not call OMG illogical. OMG is logical.

Only, from its subject POV, I am slightly unhappy about the makers attacking only rituals/religion, yet affirming existence of God and leaving no room for skeptics/atheists. Such a gutsy, open-minded film...took a predictable, safe end...but I guess even whatever it dared to show was too much for blinded-by-dogma Indian audience. So I applaud their attempt.

I loved the film, it's the only one from last year which I've seen multiple times and each time I love it more than I did at first viewing. It's been neglected at all awards due to lack of hype around names that made it. Fine. But the film's reception, ratings and audience appreciation speak for what it was.

Proud of Akshay Kumar for this film alone. He redeemed himself with this as an actor and producer. Paresh Rawal only proves what true class is all about. Writers, director, whole team put together a commendable effort.

I find it much better than any offering from several overrated production houses and actors in Bollywood.

It was a 'moral science' lesson, specifically aimed at spoon-feeding every detail.

He did go to the insurance company...they said it was an act of God(and thus not covered under the contract)..look at his plight-everything..just about everything that he'd worked for all his life had fallen apart! he had no alternative left! he didn't believe in God! It was an act done in rage!! His logic was when god men and priests can act as agents of God to fill their own coffers, they should be equally responsible for any liability arising from His action!!
