Actually I really really loved it. Maybe I identified with it, since my own philosophy is the message of the film: God is inside us, do good and He/She will bless you, you don't have to necessarily pray 24/7, fast, and other things we do. NOT that it's wrong to do those things since it's a matter of faith and our own personal beliefs only.
I thought they really presented the message well and in a humorous manner. It was a great satire on what faith has become today--a business industry that rakes in profits under the guise of dharam and bhakti, rather than simply having a connection with the divine.
The acting was very very good. Paresh Rawal is always amazing, Mithun was hilarious too 😆 I always knew Akshay has potential as an actor but sadly he's wasted his time doing crap films for the most part. I have a lot of respect for him for doing this film and producing it. I'll ignore K786 for now.
Yes, the film kinda lost it at the end with Kanji in hospital and what followed. It was a bit too much there, but overall the film was really good, despite some shoddy production values.
I was pleasantly surprised that this film was released in India without people crying for it to be banned or taking it down, and such things as we might imagine. Thank god for that.
