As far as being detained goes, he's not the first person to be detained nor will he be the last person. Security comes first, why should he get a pass over an average folk. Though i personally don't agree with the some of the security protocols post 9/11, but hey, it's a cruel world.

He WAS'nT TOLD to leave India coz he is a muslim.

I wanted to read the whole thing he wrote because knowing media, they probably took the parts that they could spin their stories for.

I wouldnt call it whining in this case. He has the right to say it again and again if his own country men ask him to leave his country and go elsewhere. If protesting is called whining and dismissed then there is no hope for a democracy.

STOP whining !!! excuse me ?? coz he is expressing his feeling ..he is a whiner now !!! shame on you guys .. it was not YOU who were interrogated for hours at the airport ..its not you ,who were called a terrorist and were told to leave the country becoz you are muslim ..it's him .he is human ..he has feelings too !!!

I think SRK's always taken this (non) issue too far. He is not the only one to be stopped and interrogated at airports. It happened to Kamal Haasan, Dr. Kalam, Aamir Khan also. No one made a hue and cry over it as he did (around release of his film of same theme!).

SRK has never been labelled a terrorist by anyone. It's just that a terrorist uses his name as a fake ID whenever he's travelling. This is why his name appears in their black list. And he gets interrogated. Security procedures are for everyone. They don't make exceptions for you no matter what a big movie star you are!

SRK has never been asked to leave his country because he is Muslim. It's just that he made comments in support of Pakistani players soon after there was hue and cry of cutting all ties with Pakistan due to 26/11 terror attacks. And Shiv Sena got angry at him and taunted that if he feels so much for Pakistan then he should go there or that Pakistan government should give Nishan E Pakistan to SRK!

The party used him to make issue and he in turn used this to project himself as a target of religious intolerance!

He's clever enough to turn even trouble as a beneficial event for him. And he did it.

All these things have helped him project himself as a modern, secular Muslim icon and add more to his myth of a hero succeeding "against all odds". No surprise he got a place among most influential Muslims list made by a foreign university soon after this fiasco.

His writings on being Muslim and MNIK only increased his fan following manifolds in Arab countries and among Muslims residing in Europe and North America. Smart guy knows exactly what he is doing.

He's a textbook in stardom and image management (and I mean it in a congratulatory way, not as sarcasm).
