No. Firstly, she'll never get such a film. Secondly, she's past the age for such films. Thirdly, she's more of a serious actress and known for author-backed roles. I doubt her acceptance in light hearted films or more conventional entertainers. She may be regarded as a classic beauty but still has a very "mature housewife" kind of feel about her. She's not what a Madhuri was and not even a girl next door like Kajol.

Vidya Balan's appeal is still niche and not massy type which guarantees hits like HAHK.

DDLJ, HAHK type films require girlish heroines whereas Vidya is womanly, mature, serious.

Vidya isn't a great dancer either.

An actress like her could've been on top in 50s perhaps. But not now. She's Mother India material not HAHK.

Kajol wasn't a glamorous diva either. She did used to have girl next door kind of appeal when she started out.

Not really. She had this effervescent young girl kind of appeal about her when she started out. But she showed maturity soon enough in different roles.

Kajol, Juhi had the girl-next-door image in the 90s. Karishma was the diva.

The fact is DDLJ and HAHK especially type of films would not work today no matter who starred in them.

HAHK came in era of masala and thrillers. In 93, biggest hits were Khalnayak, Aankhein, Baazigar and Darr. Early 94, Mohra type action flicks were overtaking and then came HAHK. Rest was history.
Same with Vivah which was only 6 to 7 years ago. Believe in trendsetters
