I think Vidya has passed the age to do a HAHK or DDLJ. If she was younger, found the right director and actor she would have clicked. But not any more. And why Vidya...cast the 35+ Kajol again in DDLJ opposite 45+ SRK and it will bomb today. Similarly cast 45 year old Madhuri in HAHK and she will look stupid. Movies like HAHK and DDJL needs actors in a certain age group to click.

HAHK came in era of masala and thrillers. In 93, biggest hits were Khalnayak, Aankhein, Baazigar and Darr. Early 94, Mohra type action flicks were overtaking and then came HAHK. Rest was history.

If Kajol could do it why not vidya?? Kajol was not even the typical heroine material when she started out..she was just known as a good actress and she nailed it..vidya is a good actress and she shares good screen chemistry with most of her co-stars. but like someone mentioned a movie like DDLJ would not work now..the movie worked back then because it was fresh..however after tht a lot of movies were inspired from DDLJ but flopped big time!!

Ermn..may be yes..may be no..🤔...i personally feel a talented actress can pull off any role...and Vidya is def talented...she has done a Kahaani, a Paa, Ishqiya, TDP and Parineeta...dat shows how versatile she is..👍🏼...so u cant bet dat she wont be able to do a Nisha or a Simran... .widout seeing her in such roles how can one predict... 😃

And hey she's very pretty...natural beauty...not surgerical one...and i simply luuuv her...❤️
