They probably do it thinking it will benefit them after all YRF made SRK so huge. And even Salman benefitted a lot from the Rajshri banner.

Salman with Rajshri or SRK with YRF/Dharma was more of a discovery phase for the stars and the directors/production house. They were not into mass production then(Rajshri still isnt). And they used to work with others too apart from their favorite banners.

When YRF started mass producing films only star who benefitted out of it was Saif Ali Khan. He could transition to lead roles with movies like Salaam Namaste and Hum Tum. But over-dependence on these banners took down John, Abhi, Neil and ofcourse Rani and Preity. I guess 3 films deals are still ok as the newcomers dont have too much of a choice. But after that they should spread their wings.

Agreed with every word. Yeah...Rani and Preity are biggest casualities of these 3 film deals.

Guess newcomers would give anything to work with YRF so they agree to these deals even if it limits their potential.

I guess newcomers are drawn to the 3 film deals with these top banners because it means more work...plus big banner = good publicity and name in Bollywood, you're taken care of, etc...less of a struggle in a way almost.

Then if these 3 films work out well, it means other filmmakers will approach them.
